Braid Anderson is an expatriate Scottish Engineer living in Papua New Guinea, where he runs his own small construction management company. Born in St Andrews, his two great grandfathers James Braid and Jamie Anderson won the British Open golf 8 times between them. Great Uncle Willie Anderson won the US Open 4 times. Braid, however, gave up golf on his 17th birthday! He was a navigating cadet on an oceangoing tanker for 10 months, before serving 3 years in the British Army - his University. In the army he trained as Artillery Surveyor, Sound Ranger, Radar operator, gun number on 25 pounder field gun and artillery mortar. He also undertook courses in civil defence, demolition and first aid, and gained his Marksman badge. The army also allowed him to start evening classes in highway engineering. Eventually he picked up diplomas in Highway Engineering and Business Administration. Since then, Braid has been Project Manager on major construction projects in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. He has several books completed, but this is the one for which time is of the essence.
