Outside Sales - An Electronic Book

Let's face it. Everyone needs a productive outlet that pays them what they're worth. Everyone also needs to "bring home the bacon," and provide for their own and their family's needs and wants. This is true for both men and women. You don't need someone like me to tell you that these are difficult times. You've probably already experienced enough rejection or frustration to last a lifetime.

What I'm here to tell you is that you can become part of a profession that pays well, probably beyond your wildest imagination, as a Professional Outside Salesperson! The key word here is "PROFESSIONAL." The good news is that it doesn't require a college degree, or take years of hard work. You can be on the upside of a learning curve in less than a week.

The first thing you have to do is ignore all the negative things your friends and family will tell you about a career in sales. I'm talking here about Professional Outside Sales. There is a huge difference. Most friends and family, unless they are in some kind of profession themselves, only get to see a sales person at a used car lot, or a regular automobile agency. They know of someone who "tried sales," and failed.

They don't know about Stephanie, a neighbor down the street, who works for the phone company and pulls down an annual income of well over $100,000.00 selling the phone company's products to corporations, educational institutions, and government agencies. By the way, Stephanie doesn't have a college degree, and her sales manager could care less. I hasten to say that any college experience can be helpful, (there are times it can actually hinder your career), but it isn't necessary.

If a college degree isn't necessary, and the field is wide open, what are the prerequisites for a position?

Knowing and understanding the tools of a Professional Salesperson, and knowing how and when to use them!

Stephanie's sales manager also doesn't care if she's white, black, green, or any other color. He doesn't care about the religion she professes. What he cares about is whether she is honest, and that she she's out there, every day, selling the company's product.
