Philip was born in New York City in June 1930. His family moved to Norwalk, Connecticut when he was 5 years old. After graduating high school he enlisted in the US Navy and was stationed at Westover Air Force Base in Massachusetts where he met my bride who was then with the USO. Philip was with MATS (Military Air Transport Service) VR 6. From there he was transferred to the Millington, Tennessee Air Station as an Instructor. After which he was stationed with VF 14 Squadron in Florida and was aboard the Air craft Carrier Franklin D. Roosevelt between 1963-65. The last 5 years of service he was Zone Supervisor on recruiting duty in Connecticut for the states of NY, NJ, and Connecticut. This is where Philip wrote his first book, "Add a Nut and Shake Well" Philip retired from the Navy in 1970. Upon leaving the service, Philip became General Manager for a chain of Bedroom furniture stores from Ohio to Florida. He then moved his family to Largo, Florida where he opened a successful home improvement company, Perma-Guard Industries. Philip retired for the last time in 1992. He now lives in Spring Hill, Florida with his "Bride" of 45 years. He and his "Bride" have five children, "4" boys and a girl, all of whom live in the surrounding areas. His hobbies are swimming, Science Fiction, and playing cards. He remains constantly amazed at what his "Bride" gets into. Publisher's Note: We regret to report that Phil Seligman past on last year. He is survived by his wife, Bobbi Seligman, (who continues to support his book), and four sons. Bobbi is talented in many fields (her artistic murals have drawn much praise), and still maintains the humor and good spirit about which Phil wrote so lovingly. The real-life incidents that occured spontaneously in Bobbi's life, continue unabated to the wonderment (and enjoyment) of all friends and family.
